She’s a California girl, but she was born in the bush of wild Alaska.

Jasmine, who started at Envelope in 2022, grew up between two strikingly contrasting natural worlds. Now she’s loving life in the cool capital city, Wellington.

Jasmine has a lifelong passion for learning. She followed her undergraduate study in international affairs and anthropology—casually teamed with a minor in Mandarin Chinese—with a Master’s in Global Business.

Jasmine grew up swimming competitively and was surrounded by strong women who constantly strove to break swim records. She learned then, and still strongly believes, in surrounding yourself with people who challenge and push you in a positive way. After starting at Envelope in mid-2022, she felt at home immediately.

Jasmine is one of Envelope’s project coordinators, supporting end-to-end projects and working with clients and the civil engineering team.

In a career that sounds like the resume of a secret agent or a movie star, Jasmine has also worked in the New York diamond district, for a media agency travelling around the Caribbean, on an apple orchard, and for a world-renowned rodeo.

She also loves travelling and moved around the United Kingdom, Australia, and South-east Asia before settling in New Zealand. She’s not one to sit still when on the move—her running shoes are essential, with Jasmine finding no better way to explore a new place than by hitting the trails.

Her favourite place in the world remains Ninilchik in Alaska, where she spent summers growing up, having close encounters with bald eagles, moose, bears, and wolves.

Wellington’s wildlife is a little bit tamer, with Jasmine testing out ocean swimming at Oriental Bay. She swam fearlessly through her first ever smack of (non-stinging) jellyfish recently.

When she does occasionally slow down, she loves a beer at Island Bay’s Parrotdog Brewery, surrounded by friends and the amiable dogs that frequent it.
