Logan Van Gils

Civil Designer

Logan Van Gils joined the Envelope team in Wellington in 2022, bringing with him a passion for engineering and a knack for problem-solving.

Hailing from Auckland, Logan was immediately drawn to the variety of work and the welcoming team atmosphere at Envelope.

Growing up in Te Atatu, West Auckland, Logan developed an early interest in engineering. His fascination with building and design started with LEGO blocks, sparking a passion for creating and understanding complex structures. Logan's love for hands-on projects continued as he worked building retaining walls during summer breaks, solidifying his interest in civil engineering.

Logan's academic journey led him to study at Mt Albert Unitec in Auckland, where he excelled in maths and physics. His practical experience and academic background have equipped him with a strong foundation in engineering principles.

At Envelope, Logan appreciates the diverse and dynamic work environment. "It’s exciting to come to work, and not everyone can say that," he remarks, highlighting the stimulating projects and supportive team culture.

Outside of work, Logan enjoys exploring nature, whether running, climbing mountains, or relaxing on the beach.  Logan says he loves time with friends, sitting around talking about life – sharing stories, jokes, and a laugh. He loves a coffee fix, and so this LEGO-building lad has landed on his feet in the coolest little caffeine capital, Wellington.
