Alistair Stewart
Senior Civil Designer
As a boy Alistair was always interested in how things worked and fitted together. But before discovering engineering the Bluff-born boy trained as a fitter/welder in Tauranga.
After a bit of life and work experience, he studied for an engineering qualification, finding a role at Envelope in 2022.
Alistair’s role involves 3D ground modelling, CAD drawing production, services, and road design.
He describes the atmosphere and culture at Envelope as ‘amazing’, and completely unlike a big corporate firm.
Outside of work, Alistair loves mountain biking and surfing. And he would love to get back to travelling, enjoying seeing new places and learning new things along the way.
The beach, the forest, and the mountains are his playground. Or on a rainy day or for some down time, Alistair enjoys chilling with his dogs and a cup of hot coffee with cream.
