Andrew Jackson
Director Civil
It’s a good thing Andrew Jackson has always liked to travel.
Currently working from the ultimate Envelope satellite office, in Scotland, Andrew grew up in Wellington and studied at Canterbury University.
He says he was always interested in how things work, pulling them to pieces and putting them back together, and in building things. It was, he says, destiny for him to become an engineer.
Andrew has gained vast experience in engineering across the Wellington region. He has been involved in a broad range of rural and urban residential, commercial, and industrial developments. His expertise ranges from design project management to construction supervision and project feasibility assessment.
Andrew has been with Envelope since the start of 2017, and his role involves helping the team design solutions to infrastructure and stormwater problems.
He is busy outside work with a young family and enjoys travel where possible. He loves to get out of town – literally – and enjoy the bush, thriving in the ‘middle of nowhere’ feeling.
Typically for a man born in Wellington, Andrew loves a great coffee. And with his hours working in opposite to his New Zealand colleagues (they need to catch him early mornings or late evenings), perhaps he needs an extra caffeine fix.
