Taher Tejani

Civil Engineer

Raised in ‘the city that never sleeps’, Mumbai, Taher revelled in its hustle and bustle, hanging out with friends, sampling street food, and running in the infamous rains which would crash down from the sky with barely a moment’s notice.

He is now based in Envelope’s Auckland offices, relishing his role in the design and management of land development projects across the country. Taher got his Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering at Auckland University.

Taher enjoys swapping ideas with senior managers at Envelope, and the fact the business has both depth of experience but remains nimble and flexible in how it works.

Taher’s grandfather moved to Mumbai with nothing and worked hard to make a living for his family. He was strongly influenced by the work ethic this required, but it was an English professor with a passion for Shakespeare, who impacted his life most significantly. ‘Caesar’, as he was known, instilled Taher with a love of reading and English, something which helped him greatly with the move to New Zealand.

Taher still loves reading, and his book collection is constantly expanding.

Time with family and friends, improv comedy, hiking, and travel are some of Taher’s favourite activities outside of work. He also enjoys a long cool Lewis Road Creamery chocolate milk and a quick competitive game of table tennis on the table at the Envelope offices.
