VIP (Very Important Pooch)

Kala has different meanings – it means dark-coloured or black, but also art or skilled craft. And Wellington’s VIP embodies all these things.

A beautiful black Labrador, she is also skilled in advising the Wellington team on their creative work, and especially at ensuring the right work/life balance – with emphasis on the life part.

Kala lives with her family, including Envelope’s Director Surveying Erin Cameron and Carine Merlier.

She is a people dog and is always keen for cuddles with the Wellington team. 

Kala loves to be consulted on work matters – chew toys in a play pen is so last year – so will do the rounds when she comes into the offices, saying hello and checking in with everyone.

Her best advice often involves taking some time out in the fresh air – perhaps a walk with an obliging, and ultra well-behaved dog even? 

‘A treat? Let’s both get one. Work hard, play hard, I say. Especially the play part. Let’s go!’
