Erin Cameron

Director Survey + LICENSED CADASTRAL SURVEYOR

From London’s Hampstead Heath to Island Bay in ‘the coolest little capital in the world’ Wellington, Erin Cameron has been around the traps.

Co-founder of Envelope Surveying, Erin grew up in the mighty Manawatu district in New Zealand and lived in the southern student mecca of Dunedin while studying surveying at Otago University.

After travelling, snowboarding and surveying around Canada, Erin moved to London, using her diverse talents there working on significant projects including Crossrail, the Thames Tideway Tunnel and major drainage upgrades on Hampstead Heath.

Erin also met her wife in London. A desire to be close to family, and for a slower paced, simpler life eventually beckoned the pair back to New Zealand.

Back home, Erin has enjoyed the opportunity to set up her own team at Envelope Surveying, establishing her own systems, and the chance to ‘get back on the tools’.

‘I love being surrounded by a like-minded team, how dynamic the environment is, and I’m passionate about using new technology to add value to projects and efficiency to the way we work.’

Wellington-based Erin has taken the lead on projects including for the 800+ lot Wallaceville Estate subdivision in Upper Hutt and the Silverbrooke development in Whitby.

She is always happiest outdoors, whether in the mountains on a snowboard, kicking a football around with her family or just chilling in the sun.
